York County is full of great behind-the-scenes tours and interesting sites. Choose three of the sites listed below for a one-day guided tour or if you just can’t miss any, stay overnight!

n   Tour the Turkey Hill Experience to learn how they make their signature icecream and teas.Everyone will receive icecream during their visit! (Available any day of the week, June through December.)

n    Visit Martin’s Potato Chip Factory to see chips being made and perhaps pick a hot chip from the line! Everyone will receive a bag of chips. (Tuesdays only.)

n   Browse among samples and great bargains at Stauffer’s Cookie Outlet  with a bag of ginger snaps for everyone. (Available Monday through Saturday, year round.)

n   Tour the Harley Davidson factory and receive temporary tattoos. (Weekdays, year round.)

n   Taste local vintages at Naylor’s Winery with a “375” split of wine for all. (Any day, year round.)

▬  Santa's Helper Tour 

Everyone gets a bag or holiday stocking to collect gifts as Santa’s helper, our own special guide, leads the way! Take home popcorn to string on the tree during tour of a potato chip factory, enjoy a holiday-inspired luncheon at San Carlo's Restaurant, receive a bag of ginger snaps from a cookie outlet plus a split of wine from a winery for a seasonal glow. 

This delicious Goodie Bag Tour begins with our guide giving everyone an empty bag to fill with special "pie" gifts as well as a collection of our favorite personal recipes

n  Visit Packwood House Museum full of collectibles including a coverlets and quilt collection. We’ll include a special mystery pie-related gift here!

n  Browse in a Penn Dutch market where you’ll take home a Whoopie Pie.

n  Dine at the Carriage Corner Restaurant where you'll enjoy such Penn Dutch treats as Shoofly Pie, Chicken Pot Pie and 7 traditional sweets & sours!

n  Also included is a Penn Dutch countryside driving tour lead by a member of our local "Team Mennonite" community which uses teams of horses as the main mode of transportation. You'll learn how this sect located in the area, why they use horses for transportation as well as a few of their church customs during a visit to a Mennonite church. You'll also take home a Cow Pie, the edible version, as a memento.

n  Visit Shade Mountain Winery for an intro and tasting, plus "375" split of wine for everyone to take home!

n  Browse at a country market for a locally baked Whoopie Pie or on Wednesdays a farmer's market for fresh baked  bread from Amish vendor.
