Groundhog Getaway, 1 Day, Punxsutawney Area
Learn about PA's furry weather forecaster and "audition" to be one yourself!

n  Learn about the tradition of Groundhog Day, meet its star, Punxsutawney Phil, who annually predicts the arrival of spring, and visit Gobbler's Knob where the annual Groundhog Day festivities take place.  

n Plus learn about other means of predicting the weather including a variety of myths and traditions at the Weather Discovery Center where you will have the chance to "audition" to be a TV meteorologist. Stand in front of the "green screen", read from a script and point out weather hot spots while seeing what you look like to a viewing audience on a TV screen. The best forecasters take home a special treat! Try this as a fun mystery tour for your group any time of the year! Great as a family get-away as well. Living the "Wild Life" in PA, 2-3 Days, Northern & Central PA regions
PA's wild elk & Punxsutawney Phil!

n Learn all about PA’s wild elk herd in Benezette and visit special viewing areas.  

n  Visit Punxsutawney and meet Phil, PA’s most famous weather forecaster. 

n  Additional options include a tour Straub’s Brewery where they make Groundhog Brew and have an “everlasting tap”, a local winery or two, Appalachian Arts Studio to see a chainsaw carving come to life, a museum of vintage automobiles and trophy game, and the Weather Discovery Center to learn about other weather legends and lore, and try your own hand at being a TV weather personality by standing in front of a green screen and reading from a script while seeing what you look like on TV. Prizes will be awarded to the best performances!

n  Extended trips may include tour of Penn State University which is home to the famous Nittany Lion statue and an All-Sports Museum, and a wildlife sanctuary tour at Penn's Cave where you can also enjoy a boat tour of America's only all-water cavern! Additionally in Penns Creek is you can tour T&D's Cats of the World, an animal refuge specializing in exotic felines and wildlife.

Art & Soul with Mural Highlights, 1-2 Days, Williamsport Area
See the world's largest 3-D outdoor portrait mural and hear the stories behind the art! 

n  One-day tours include artist-lead guided driving tour highlighting the city's art and architecture with visit to the largest 3-D portrait mural in the world where group members will receive 3-D glasses for viewing the mural and hear the stories behind the art form their artist guide. Plus visits to historic churches and an artist complex featuring artists at work.  

n  We'll also include other sites pictured in the mural such as the Hiawatha Paddlewheeler riverboat.  

n  Overnights include all these sites plus perhaps visits to the local culinary arts school for lunch and more hands-on activities and a visit to the Taber Museum  displaying a Tiffany-stained glass church window and art by Severin Roesen, one of Jackie Onassis favorites.

This tour really keeps you moving!

n     Browse at a Farmers Market featuring food and craft vendors as well as Penn Dutch items.  

n     Visit an artisan soap shoppe for a demo and gift for everyone.  

n    Enjoy a presentation on growing and using herbs at a home and garden shoppe with seeds for everyone.  

n     Visit two wineries for tour and tastings with a special tasting of wine mojitos with the recipe for everyone at one of the sites.

n    Enjoy a workshop tour, demo and browsing at an artisan candlemaker. 

n     Tour of a working sheep farm and make a craft from felted wool.

         Plus dining options featuring the freshest local produce! Consider a gourmet meal in a mansion restaurant plus in the summer and fall we can also have a chef choose one seasonal item such as blueberries or squash to feature in each course of your meal.
